I stopped working at my kitchen table and started going to the Corner Perk on 5th, and my mornings look nothing alike
For about 8 months I did all my freelance writing at home, and I was lucky to get 2 solid pages done before noon. Last Tuesday I tried the Corner Perk on 5th Street instead, and I finished a whole draft by 10:30. Turns out the low hum of the espresso machine and nobody knowing me is way easier to focus through than my own laundry pile staring at me. Now I want to know if anyone else has a spot that works better than their own house, and what it is about that place that does it.
