Is hitting 1000 coffee shop visits a flex or a cry for help?
I just checked my credit card rewards and realized I've been to the same local shop 340 times in two years. That's almost every other day. Does hitting a number like that mean I'm a loyal regular with a routine, or just someone who can't figure out how to make a decent pour over at home? Who else has a coffee shop number that made them stop and think?

Pretty sure you're overthinking this. 340 times in two years just means you like the place and it fits your schedule. Unless you're going into debt over it, who cares about the number.

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend Dave. He hit 500 visits at this one chain place in like a year and a half. The baristas knew his name, his order, even his car. One day he showed up and they just handed him his drink without him saying a word. He thought it was cool until he realized he had spent over $3,000 there. That's a whole vacation. He tried quitting cold turkey and lasted three days before caving. Now he just owns it and calls himself a "frequent flyer member" of the coffee loyalty program.
