Sat in the same corner seat at Java Joe's for 8 months and only just noticed the sign on the wall
I always grabbed the table by the window at Java Joe's on 5th because I thought it was the good spot, but last Tuesday the barista mentioned the regulars all fight over the booth in the back because it's the only one near an outlet. Eight months of my laptop dying at 20% while there was a whole power strip setup back there I never saw. Anyone else pick a coffee shop seat for the wrong reason for way too long?

That whole power strip setup thing got me because I did the same at a diner near my old place, fought for the booth by the door every single Sunday for like a year. Turned out the good booth was the one tucked behind the pie case where nobody sat, and it had a little lamp plus the waitress refilled your cup without asking. I only found it because my usual spot got taken by a soccer team one morning. Sat in the back out of spite and never went back to the door booth again. Eight months is nothing, I beat you by four.
