Tbh, I just realized I've been to the same spot in Seattle 100 times
Honestly, it's this little corner table at Caffe Vita on Capitol Hill, and I only noticed because the barista mentioned it when she handed me my usual. It made me think about how these places become part of your routine without you even knowing. Anyone else have a coffee shop spot they've visited way more than they realized?

Remember the time I tried to be a "mystery customer" at my usual diner? Ordered pancakes instead of my standard eggs, and the waitress just stared at me, then brought out eggs anyway saying she figured the kitchen had misheard. Felt so seen and also a little defeated, like my own habits betrayed me.

It's funny how we build these tiny, quiet relationships with places and the people who work there.

Wait, have you ever had a friend get called out by their own order? My buddy Dave got his usual at our local spot, and the guy at the register just said "the regular" to the barista before Dave even spoke. He said it was a weird mix of feeling known and also totally exposed, like his whole life was a boring open book. It made him switch up his order for a week just to throw them off.
