Vent: The espresso machine at my regular spot in Portland quit mid-rush and I lost my $6 drink
I stopped by my usual cafe on SE Division at 8:15 on Tuesday, and the barista was mid-pull when the machine just died with a loud hiss. Turns out the group head gasket had blown, and she said it would be at least a day before a repair guy could come out. My oat latte got dumped, and I stood there with 8 other people while she offered drip coffee and apologized about 6 times. It got me thinking, has anyone else had a spot go down at the worst moment, and did you stick around or find somewhere else?
