Oh man, that study rings so true! I accidentally read a spoiler for a huge movie twist last year and it totally deflated the whole thing for me. Watching it felt like just going through the motions since I knew the big secret. It really does kill the suspense when you know what's coming. I'm super careful about avoiding discussions now until I've seen something.
