Finally found a comic shop that gets it...
Drove out to Third Eye Comics in Annapolis last Saturday and the owner actually asked what I was reading before trying to sell me anything. Has anyone else found a store that lets you just browse without the hard sell?

Oh wow, you actually drove all the way out to Annapolis for that? (I mean, I guess that makes sense, Third Eye's got that reputation). @clairen85 I totally get why you said it's not hype - I had a similar thing happen at a shop in Richmond last month where the owner remembered my pull list from like two years ago. It's wild how rare it is to find places that don't immediately try to upsell you on variants or whatever hot new #1 just dropped. That whole "what are you reading" approach is such a breath of fresh air, because half the time I walk into a store and the guy behind the counter is already pitching me like I'm a customer at a used car lot. Makes you want to actually spend money there, you know?

Actually Richmond's got a few good spots but collector's cave is where I go, not third eye.
