Had to pick between two longboxes at the flea market yesterday

I was at the flea market in Akron last Saturday and found a guy selling two longboxes for $40 each one had a full run of Bronze Age Conan and the other was mostly 90s X-Men with some key issues like X-Men #1. I only had cash for one so I grabbed the Conan box turns out it had a Giant-Size Conan #1 in there worth around $150 according to my price guide. Anyone else ever get lucky on a blind longbox gamble like that?

Respectfully, Ive seen too many people get burned by their gut to fully agree. My uncle ignored the numbers on a business deal because his gut said it was a sure thing, and he lost his savings. Sometimes the safe bet is boring but it keeps you from falling flat on your face. Gut feelings can be right, but theyre just as often wishful thinking dressed up as instinct.
