I used to just read new comics, but now I hunt for back issues at conventions
The difference is huge. Reading a new digital copy is fine, but finding a physical issue from 1992 at a con in Cleveland feels like a real treasure hunt. Does anyone else get more excited about the hunt than the actual reading sometimes?

Remember that article about how our brains treat finding things like a real reward? Feels like that, right? The hunt just hits different.

Honestly, that's how I feel about a lot of things now. Tbh, getting stuff delivered to your door is easy, but it feels empty. The whole process of looking for something specific, digging through bins, and finally finding it yourself, that's the real win. It turns a simple buy into a story you can tell. I get that same kick from hunting for old records or a specific used book. The hunt makes the thing you find mean more.
