Just realized that old comic shop guy was right about bagging my pulls...
A few years back, this clerk at a shop in Austin told me to stop using those cheap poly bags for my weekly pulls. He said they'd yellow my books after a year or two. I figured he was just upselling the mylar ones for a dollar fifty each. Well I dug out my 2021 run of something last night and the edges are all brown and brittle... I should have listened to him back then. Has anyone else had a shop employee give you advice that turned out to be totally on the money?

Did one of my buddies tell you that story? He swore by the cheap bags for years until he pulled out his Stan Lee signed books and they looked like they'd been through a house fire. Now he keeps a humidity gauge in his long boxes like it's a hostage situation.

Wait, you're telling me my basement full of poly-bagged 90s comics is actually a science experiment in turning brown?

I mean, is it really that bad? I've got some old bags on mine too and they're fine for the most part. Maybe it's just me but I feel like people overreact about this stuff.
