My comic shop went from 40 long boxes to 6 in 8 months and I blame the regulars, not the owner
I've been going to the same shop in Sacramento since 2019 and last August the back wall had 40 long boxes you could actually flip through, but when I walked in last Saturday it was down to 6 boxes and two spinner racks. The owner told me he cut it because nobody digs anymore, they just grab their pull list and leave, and the guys who used to spend an hour in the bins now order trades online. So is this just what every shop looks like now, or did your local spot find a way to keep the back issue crowd coming in?
