My longbox collapsed in the middle of a move last Saturday and I spent 4 hours resorting in a parking lot
I was hauling my collection from my old place in Columbus to a new apartment about 15 minutes away, and the bottom of my oldest longbox just gave out on the third trip. It was a cheap one I'd had since 2016, and it dumped about 120 comics onto the sidewalk right next to the moving truck. I sat on the curb for 4 hours sorting them back into order by title and number while people walking by kept asking if I was selling them. Lost a bit of corner on my copy of Saga #1, but honestly it could've been way worse. What do you all use for boxes that can actually survive a move without turning into confetti?
Oh man I feel this in my soul. Moved two years ago and had the exact same thing happen with a box that was held together by packing tape and prayers. Now I just use the plastic bins from Target, they cost more but I'm never sitting on a curb sorting X-Men again.
