The old baggy boards vs new Mylar sleeves debate, I flipped

I used to think Mylar sleeves were a waste of cash for my floppies. A guy at Heroes Con in Baltimore showed me his 1980s Jim Lee books in Mylar, still glossy. I spent $35 on a pack of 50 last month. Now my 1991 X-Men #1 looks better than the one I kept in a paper bag. Anyone else swap their storage method after seeing a comparison like that?

Man, $35 for 50 of those things? That's wild to me. I remember paying like $8 for a pack of the cheap ones back in the day and still grumbling about it. But seeing a 1993 Spawn with the cover still popping like it came off the rack yesterday? That changed my whole view. My old bags are all cloudy and stuck to the books now, it's honestly kinda sad. Might have to bite the bullet and swap the good stuff over this weekend.
