TIL that a single issue of Action Comics #1 sold for over 3 million dollars at auction
I was reading an article on Yahoo about old comic values and it said the first Superman comic went for $3.2 million in 2014. That blew my mind because I remember digging through quarter bins as a kid hoping to find something valuable. Does anyone else think the prices on these golden age books have gone completely bonkers?

gotten completely bonkers" is putting it mildly lol. I remember a few years back my uncle found a beat up copy of Detective Comics #27 in his attic and nearly had a heart attack when he saw what they were going for online. It's wild how the market for these old books has exploded, but I feel for the long time collectors who can't even dream of owning a big key anymore. It's like the whole hobby turned into a stock market or something, and the fun of just digging for a good story got lost along the way.

I'd tell your uncle to sit on that DC #27 for at least another year or two if he can. I've seen the market dip before on some of these golden age books, and it always bounces back stronger. Just keep it in a dry place and don't let anyone lowball him.
