Vent: Blew $150 on a signed comic from the 90s and it was fake

I bought a signed copy of X-Men #1 from a seller on Facebook marketplace last month. Paid $150 cash thinking I got a steal. I took it to my local shop for grading and the owner spotted the fake signature right away. He showed me how the ink bled wrong and the certificate didn't match any real records. Anyone else get burned on fake autographs from online sellers?

Ngl that sucks man. Facebook marketplace is a total minefield for this stuff. Always get a second opinion before handing over cash.

Dude I was just reading a thread about this on Reddit the other day where someone bought a whole gaming PC setup off marketplace and it ended up being full of stolen parts. @drew_reed62 is right, people will straight up lie about anything to make a sale. Always gotta pull up with a friend who knows their stuff or at least google the model number before you even message them. Marketplace is basically the wild west at this point, buyer beware times ten.
