Walked into my old comic shop in Akron and the vibe was totally different

I was back in my hometown last weekend and stopped by the place I used to hang out at every Saturday. Instead of longboxes and posters, half the floor space is now Funko Pops and those fancy statue cases. I heard a dad tell his kid, 'Pick one thing,' which hit me because we used to dig for cheap back issues for hours. Does anyone else's local spot feel more like a collectibles store now?

Was it still the same owner running the place, or did new people buy it and change the whole business plan? The "pick one thing" line is a gut punch, it really shows how the hunt is gone now.

Same family, but the kids took over. They kept the name but changed the soul. The old magic was in the search, digging through piles to find a treasure. Now it's all laid out neat and clean, no surprises left. That line about picking one thing sums up the whole loss.

Ask Julia_Anderson, do you think the kids even realized they were killing the magic when they made it all neat?
