Saw a video from a guy in the Gulf who showed how to fake logbook entries with a simple spreadsheet trick. How many supervisors out there are faking their bottom time?

Are we talking about shallow dives or deep ones where the tables actually start mattering? Because faking a few shallow air dives is one thing, but the deco stuff is a whole different level of stupid.

The thing nobody's bringing up is the liability angle if someone gets hurt or dies. Faking a shallow dive might end with a headache, but faking deco stops or ignoring mandatory bottom time can kill you or leave you with permanent nerve damage. If you're doing this with a buddy, they're just as screwed legally if they don't stop you. And if you're solo, there's nobody to call for help when you end up bent. Rescue crews don't care if you faked your logs, they just bill you for the helicopter ride. People forget that diving isn't just about being cool, it's about coming back in one piece.
