Dry suit zipper lube trick from a crab boat guy in Dutch Harbor

Was wrestling with a sticky zipper on my dry suit for weeks. A deckhand told me to use pure silicone spray on a cotton rag, not the aerosol direct. Wiped it down the track twice a day and it's smoother than the day I bought it. Anyone else got weird gear hacks from random deckhands?

And here I was thinking the secret was just screaming at the zipper until it cooperated. Silicone on a rag makes way more sense than my method of using my teeth and hoping for the best. That Dutch Harbor guy probably also knows how to fix a boat engine with a paperclip and some chewing gum. Next thing you'll tell me is the trick to keeping your socks dry is just not stepping in the ocean, which honestly feels like the same level of revelation right now.
