Emergency ascent drill saved my ass off Galveston last month

Was doing a pipeline inspection 40 feet down when my primary reg started free flowing out of nowhere. Kept calm, switched to my backup, but the real kicker was my buddy Mike had drilled the emergency ascent signal with me 3 times the week before. We shot up controlled, did the stop at 15 feet, and surfaced with zero issues. Anyone else here actually practice those drills regularly or is it just a classroom thing for you?
