Honestly that's a pretty rough thing to say to someone. People can be going through a lot and still post online. Tbh you don't know what's happening in their life from one comment. It just seems like dismissing someone's feelings without knowing the full story. Maybe the whole point is they're trying to reach out and that shuts it down.

Seriously? I read a whole article about how people downplay stuff online all the time, @matthewmartin. It just makes others feel worse for reaching out. That kind of comment isn't helpful at all.
