My fin strap trick after losing one in the murk
I was doing a hull inspection in San Diego Bay last month in maybe 2 foot visibility, and my right fin strap popped loose while I was feeling around the prop. A buddy showed me to zip tie a small loop of bungee cord to the heel cup so you can hook the strap under it instead of fighting the buckle underwater. Anyone else tried something like this to keep gear from floating away?

Kellys78 that tip from the forum sounds similar but mine uses two zip ties for extra hold.

Respectfully, I gotta disagree on the "two zip ties for extra hold" thing. In my experience, doubling up just makes it harder to get a clean release when you're in a hurry or dealing with cold hands. One snug zip tie does the job if you route it right, no need to overcomplicate it.
