My Kirby Morgan mask flooded bad on a 60ft job last Thursday. Was it the exhaust valve or something else?

Read a report from some dive safety guys that said hair getting caught in the face seal is a common cause. Even a single strand can create a tiny leak path. Look for any little nicks in the rubber too. My buddy's KM flooded once because a grain of sand was stuck under the seal.

Yeah hair in the seal is definitely a thing but most leaks I've seen come from a tiny nick in the rubber no one bothered to check.

Exhaust valve is the usual suspect but check your oral inflator too. Had a buddy with the same issue on a 50fter turned out the inflator was cracked just a tiny bit. Also make sure your face seal isnt letting water in around the edges when you tilt your head.
