Surface supply vs scuba for shallow harbor work, am I wrong to push back on the scuba guys?
Had a job in Baltimore Harbor last month, 22 feet of water, and two guys on the crew said we didn't need surface supply since it was shallow. I get the argument that scuba is faster to gear up and cheaper, but that harbor bottom was zero viz and full of debris, and I'd rather have a hard line to the surface when something snags. What depth do you all draw the line at for switching to surface supply?
