Switched from leather gloves to rubber ones after a near miss on a 4 inch intake in Houston
Two years ago I was working a pump job in Houston and my leather glove caught on a bolt flange while I was checking a 4 inch intake, which could have pinned my hand bad. Now I only use thick rubber gloves at 90 durometer or higher on anything with moving parts because they tear off clean instead of grabbing. Anybody else made the switch after a scare, or am I overthinking it?
