Unpopular opinion: that decommissioned pier in Galveston should stay closed to dive work
Did a walk-around at the old pier off 25th last month and counted 14 spots where the pilings are basically hollow at the waterline, which is either a hazard or a nice steady inspection contract depending on who you ask. Half the local guys want it fenced off for good, the other half want the city to pay us to keep eyes on it. Which side are you on?
