He told me to watch the pedestrian countdown and adjust my speed to hit the green wave on 5th Avenue, and I timed it out over a week of commutes, so has anyone else tried syncing with the signals instead of rushing?

Tried that once on a side street and ended up hitting every red light instead, so I just gave up and started leaving earlier. Still, beats sitting there watching the countdown mock you.
