Bike lane pothole saga took 8 months to actually get fixed

I hit the same deep pothole on my morning ride through Arlington for almost a year. Submitted it to the city app back in April, got a confirmation number, heard absolutely nothing. After 5 months I called the public works line and they said it was "under review" which apparently means in a queue behind 400 other spots. Finally in December a crew patched it, but only because a neighbor who works for the city complained twice. The whole thing took 241 days from my first report to the day the tape came off. Has anyone else had luck getting road hazards fixed faster by emailing someone specific instead of using the app? I've got two other spots I'm tracking now and I don't want to wait that long again.
