Found out my train has been 7 minutes late for 3 years straight

I was looking at the transit authority stats last night for fun and found out my 7:15 AM express has been late by an average of 7 minutes for the last 36 months. Not 5 minutes, not 8 minutes, almost always exactly 7. I checked the archived logs on their public dashboard and it's wild how consistent it is. Has anyone else looked up their specific line's delay history?

Well, that's just something else, isn't it? I had a similar thing happen with my local bus route a few years back, except it was consistently 11 minutes early. I'd show up right at the posted time and miss it every single day for nearly a year. I finally got so frustrated I called the transit office and asked if they could just change the schedule. The lady on the phone said they couldn't because their data showed the bus was on time, not early. I told her to check the logs herself and she just sighed. Eventually they did change the time by 10 minutes, but it took another 6 months.

Hang on, I think you might be mixing up "early" with something else. If the bus was 11 minutes early and left before the posted time, that's not the bus being early that's the bus not following the schedule at all. The transit office probably didn't want to change the time because they'd basically be admitting the driver was ignoring the published schedule for years.
