Spent $45 on a window scraper that actually saved my mornings

I drive 25 miles into Pittsburgh every day and the last two winters I was always late because I'd wait for the defroster to catch up. Finally bought one of those long-handled scrapers with the brush on the other end, not the cheap gas station kind. It cost $45 at the hardware store and it cleared my whole windshield in under 3 minutes this morning. That thing paid for itself in one week of not sitting in traffic at 6:45 AM. Anyone else shell out extra for a commute gadget that ended up being worth it or did you waste cash on something useless like I did with that $20 dashboard phone mount?

Did the scraper come with a built-in heater or does it just magically teleport ice off the glass? Because my $12 gas station special barely chips through frost before I give up and scrape with a credit card like some kind of caveman. Sounds like you found the Cadillac of scrapers, but I'm still bitter about the $30 heated seat cushion I bought that died after three uses. Maybe I should just move to Florida instead of buying more fancy winter gear.
