That moment 3 months ago when I realized my entire route was adding 20 minutes for no reason

I take the same way to work every day for like 5 years. Last fall I had to detour around construction and took a side street I never bothered with. Turns out it shaves off a good 20 minutes and has way less stoplights. Now I feel like an idiot for all that time I just sat there.

I dunno man, 50 hours seems like a stretch. You probably saved like 10 minutes tops if you really timed it. People always exaggerate (myself included) when they find a new shortcut.

Man I feel this so hard. I used to drive past this one cut-through for like three years because I thought it was a dead end. Turns out it connects two main roads and saves me from sitting through a left turn that takes forever. I mean, I wasted probably like 50 hours of my life just waiting at that light. Makes me want to go yell at past me.
