The express bus pass I renewed for 3 months before realizing it stopped running

Paid $180 back in March for the 902 express loop that used to save me 20 minutes each way, but they quietly axed the route in January and I never checked the notice. Anybody else hold onto a dead commute habit way past the point of it making sense?

Did you check if the bus company will refund the remaining months? That seems like something worth pushing on, because $180 is a lot to lose on a route that wasn't even running when you paid. I get being in a routine, but sometimes the system banks on us not noticing these quiet changes, and it might be worth a phone call.
