Tried audiobooks during my 45 minute bus ride, now I miss my stop

I started listening to a memoir about a guy hiking the Pacific Crest Trail on my morning commute to downtown Seattle, and for three straight days I rode past my usual stop because I got so wrapped up in his story. Yesterday it cost me 20 extra minutes of walking back, but honestly I didn't mind because I finally got to the part where he crosses the Sierra Nevada. Has anyone else had a commute ritual that made the time fly so fast you almost forgot where you were going?
