Vent: My GPS tried to send me through a lake last Tuesday

I learned to always double-check the route when it seems too good to be true (which it usually is). Now I have a funny story about almost driving into a pond.

Do you ever trust the GPS even when it seems off? Mine usually knows best, so I just go with it. Maybe yours had a temporary bug.

Oh, I wish that were true. Sometimes the map data is just old, like when it sends you down a road that's been closed for years. I've learned to double-check on long trips.

But I gotta say, sometimes you just gotta trust the tech. @bettyroberts has a point about GPS usually being right, even if it looks weird. I've followed mine into some strange places and it always worked out.
