Figured out why that Dell Optiplex 3020 kept crashing at our shop in St. Louis.
I spent three hours swapping RAM and testing the PSU on this thing last Thursday. Finally noticed the thermal pad on the chipset was completely dried out and cracked. Replaced it with a $3 pad from Micro Center and the system has been stable for 5 days straight. Anyone else run into chipset overheating issues on older office desktops?

Could be the thermal pad but 5 days isn't that long to call it fixed. Machines run fine for weeks sometimes before they crash again.
