Hit 2000 repairs on my bench this month, never thought I'd get here
I was dead set against keeping a tally of my repairs. Thought it was pointless bragging. But my boss started a simple whiteboard count in January as a team motivator. I hit number 2000 on a busted Dell motherboard yesterday, and it actually blew my mind seeing that number. That milestone made me realize how much junk we save from the dump every single week. Has anyone else tracked their repair count and been surprised by the total?

That whiteboard count is a real gut check, isn't it? I was skeptical too when my buddy started tracking our shop's stuff, but seeing 1500 on a dead power supply made me stop and think. I never realized how many perfectly fixable things people just throw away until I saw that number staring back at me. It really puts the hustle into perspective, even if you feel silly about it at first.

Yeah, honestly it kind of flipped my thinking too, I used to just toss stuff without a second thought.

lol right? I was the exact same way, just yeeting stuff into the trash without a care in the world. But now I'm over here pulling apart old electronics like some kind of mad scientist trying to save every little screw. It's honestly kinda ridiculous how much I've changed, but seeing those numbers rack up is weirdly addictive. Plus I get to feel all smug when I fix something that would've just been landfill fodder.
