Just had a client in Tacoma try to bribe me to ignore a failing drive

He offered me an extra $200 cash to just 'make it work for a few more months' and not tell his boss. It was a server with their whole customer database on it. Has anyone else had a customer try to pressure you into skipping a critical fix?

Make it work for a few more months" usually means "until it's someone else's problem." Classic move.

Used to disagree, but @rubyshah is right.

Make it work for a few more months" is such a scary request. Did you get the feeling he was just trying to save his own skin, or was there more pressure from the company to cut corners?
