Just realized I've been using the wrong thermal paste method for years
A client brought in a gaming rig from a shop in Tampa, and their paste application was a perfect, thin square. I'd always done the pea-sized dot, but their temps were way better. What's your go-to paste method now?

My old boss in Austin swore by the credit card spread method.

Austin is the last place I'd expect to hear a tech tip from a boss. That credit card thing sounds like a great way to scratch the motherboard. After what happened to gavinb97's buddy with the rice, I'm not trusting any weird paste tricks. People just need to use the right tools for the job.
