Just realized my ticket system was lying to me for years

Had a chat with a senior tech at a shop in Austin last week. He told me he never trusts ticket timestamps because he caught a system rounding all 4 minute jobs up to 15. Checked my own data and found 30% of my completed tickets had bogus time logs. That little conversation made me rethink how I track my repair efficiency. Anyone else ever dig into their ticket stats and find something weird?

Honestly, I heard somewhere that auditors actually catch way more than just the obvious fakes. Tbh that 30% number sounds pretty believable if you've ever seen how creative some people get with their excuses. Ngl, it's kind of a relief knowing someone's actually checking all that stuff.
