Pro tip: I was at a friend's garage in Phoenix and saw his tool wall setup for the tenth time before it clicked

He had every single cable, adapter, and screwdriver in a clear plastic bin with a big label on the front. I used to just toss my stuff in a big toolbox and dig for 10 minutes every job. Now I keep my most used computer repair tools in a $25 pegboard setup from the hardware store. It cut my setup time in half on site. Anyone else use a pegboard for their mobile kit?

My old system was just a canvas bag full of random tool rolls. I mean, it worked, but I was always fumbling for the right screwdriver head. Seeing a photo of a clean pegboard setup online last year finally convinced me. I spent a Sunday putting one up in my own workspace. Now the most common tools are just right there, and I don't waste time at all. It seems so obvious now, but I had to see it to get it.

Yeah @adamr14, pegboards are a total game changer for that.

Honestly, it feels like overkill for a mobile kit. I get the appeal of a clean setup at home, but dragging a pegboard to every job site? That sounds like more hassle than it's worth. My old bag might be a mess, but I can just grab it and go. The time I'd spend setting up a pegboard on site would probably eat up any time I saved. It just seems like a solution for people who care more about how their tools look than actually getting the work done.
