Hit 1,000 square feet of flatwork in a single pour and honestly I think it's overrated

Everyone talks about big pours like they're the ultimate flex, but I'd rather do three 300-foot days than deal with the stress of managing concrete trucks and finishers racing the clock. How many of you actually enjoy those marathon pours over smaller, cleaner jobs?

Did you ever have a finisher show up with a hangover and the sun baking down? That's when I decided big pours are for younger guys with better backs.

Where I come from, a thousand feet is a decent patio, not a marathon. Three smaller pours sounds like three times the risk of cold joints and mismatched color.

I stopped fighting it and just did two 500-foot pours with a truck each.
