Hot take: I was floating slabs with the wrong end of the magnesium float for 2 years
Had a 30x40 shop pour out in Amarillo back in April and the old finisher next to me watched me work for about 10 minutes before he said something. Turns out I had been running the float with the handle riding low and dragging the blade edge instead of letting the weight sit flat, which is why I always fought little ridges at the edges. He had me flip my grip and keep my knuckles up, and the finish off the float looked like it came off a trowel machine. Any of you ever have someone call out something basic you'd been doing wrong for years?
