I finally stopped using plastic sheeting for curing after 15 years

Old habit was just wetting the slab and covering with 6 mil poly. Did that on a garage floor in Denver last month and the customer called me back a week later with dusting issues. Switched to a curing compound spray for the next job. Guy at the supply yard said I was 'living in the 90s' which fair enough. Saved me like 3 hours of labor too. Anyone else still doing the poly method or am I the only dinosaur?

Always thought poly was the only way to go. But seeing how fast curing compound works changed my mind completely. Makes sense to save the labor and get better results.

Hang on, did you actually see dusting problems a week later from poly? I've always heard that was more of a long-term humidity issue if you pull the plastic off too early or get condensation trapped against the surface. Was it just the poly itself or did you have bad timing on when you removed it? Not doubting you, just trying to figure out if that's a real risk or if you got unlucky with something else.
