Old foreman swore by burlap for curing slabs

I called him crazy when he told me to wet burlap and plastic instead of using a spray-on cure at a job in Tulsa last July. That slab came out with almost no cracks and the other three where I used spray all had hairline issues by week two. Anyone else see a big difference with wet curing over the chemical stuff?

Well my spray-on stuff must have been bought from a guy selling hopes and dreams because my slabs looked like a road map after two weeks. Guess the old foreman wasn't so crazy after all, maybe he just knew burlap works better than snake oil!

Oh yeah @jennifer204, I had the SAME problem until I switched to old school wet burlap and it worked like magic.

Nah I gotta disagree, that spray stuff works fine if you put it on right.
