Switched from a magnesium float to a resin one on my last big pour

I used to swear by my trusty old magnesium float for years, but after a 40-yard driveway job in Phoenix last summer, the drag marks were driving me crazy. Tried a resin float on a whim for a smaller patio the next week and the finish came out way smoother with way less effort. Anyone else made the switch and noticed a big difference in their final pass?

Temps matter more than tool material with resin floats... you might be onto something.

Totally agree. I spent way too much on a fancy knife set before I learned how to properly sharpen a basic one. @the_kim's right, it's always the simple stuff that makes the biggest difference.
