Swore by a wooden hand float for 12 seasons, tried a magnesium one on a 40 yard pour in Phoenix
I used to think a wooden float was the only way to open up a slab right, kept two broken-in ones in the truck and wouldn't let anybody touch them. Last month my helper grabbed a 48 inch mag float out of the trailer on a 40 yard driveway in Phoenix and the cream came up so much cleaner that I never went back to the wood. Anybody else switch floats and wonder why they waited so long, or am I the last guy holding out?
