Took me 4 hours to figure out why my garage floor was pitting in Phoenix
Turned out the mix I ordered had too much fly ash and it was reacting to the morning dew. Has anyone else dealt with mix specs that don't match what the batch plant actually sends you?

That fly ash issue is wicked common in the desert. Had a buddy in Tucson who finally tracked his pitting problem back to the plant swapping in a cheaper alternative without telling him.

That cheaper alternative bit is spot on. Plants do it all the time without telling anyone.

My neighbor out in Bakersfield had the same thing happen with his irrigation system. Turned out the water district switched suppliers without a word, and the extra minerals ate through his brass fittings in like 8 months.
