Tried a magnesium floor hardener on my garage slab and got white blotches everywhere

I used this stuff called Lithia Hardener on a 400 square foot garage floor last week in Phoenix and it left these ugly white patches all over. I think I put it on too thick in some spots and didn't burnish it enough before it dried. Has anyone else had this problem with hardeners or did I just mess up the application timing?

Buddy of mine did the same thing in his Tucson garage and ended up grinding half of it off.

Man, that hits close to home. Did basically the same thing last summer trying to get a stuck brake rotor off my Civic. Ended up with a pile of metal shavings and a rotor that looked like it got into a fight with a cheese grater. Next time I swear I'm just gonna pay the shop the fifty bucks, my arms can't take another session of cussing at frozen parts in 90 degree heat.

oh man, you and me both. i did a crappy patch job on my driveway with some hardener last fall and ended up with these milky white splotches that looked like I spilled bleach everywhere. turns out I waited way too long to start polishing it and the stuff just set up on me like concrete. had to borrow a buddy's grinder and spend a whole weekend getting it off, my back still hurts thinking about it. Phoenix heat probably made yours dry even faster too, that's rough.
