Wasted a whole day and $500 on a 'self-leveling' floor compound that didn't level anything.
Bought it for a basement floor job in Tacoma. The bag said it would flow and flatten on its own, so I figured I'd save time. Mixed it exactly like it said, poured it out, and it just sat there like thick mud. Had to go back over the whole thing with a trowel anyway, and the finish was rough. Total waste of product and a full day's labor. Has anyone found a brand that actually works like it claims?

So you basically had to do the leveling yourself anyway, like @shanelee's buddy buying those tickets.

Honestly, that's the worst feeling, wasting time and money like that.

My buddy bought concert tickets for a band that broke up a week before the show. He was out a couple hundred bucks and never got to see them.
