Watched a guy in El Paso finish a driveway with a magnesium float and it clicked for me
I got sent to a job site in El Paso two weeks ago and watched a finisher named Ray work a 30x40 driveway. He never touched a steel trowel until the bleed water was gone, just worked it slow with a mag float, and the surface came out glassy with zero burn marks. I had been rushing my trowel passes for months and getting those dark swirls. How do you all time your trowel passes when the sun is beating down?
