Dropped $75 on a "declassified" UFO binder off eBay and it was just old newspaper clippings
Seller in Roswell claimed it had leaked docs from 1997 but every page was just USA Today articles I could've googled for free, anyone else get burned buying "insider" files online?
I did something kinda similar with a "military grade" metal detector from a guy on Craigslist who swore it came off a base in Nevada. Got it home and it beeped nonstop over my own driveway, then died completely after like two days. Opened it up and the insides looked like a cheap toy, wires wrapped in electrical tape and everything. My kid's dollar store one works better honestly. Some people just know how to dress up junk with a good story.
